We are delighted to announce that Harrogate International Festivals were awarded first place in the Business Tourism category of this year’s Ackrill Business Awards on Thursday 6 March.

The presentation gala dinner, held at the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate, was attended by over 500 of the region’s leading businesses.

Stuart Quin, Dircector of Harrogate International Centre who sponsor this Award, said, “I am delighted to present Harrogate International Festivals, with this year’s Award. They are one of the region’s leading cultural, not for profit charity organisations, working all year round to bring the finest in performing arts, literature and community participation. Over 90,000 people attended events promoted by HIF in 2007 and this generated an estimated £4.1m of income for the area.”

Harrogate International Festivals Chief Executive, William Culver-Dodds, who received the Award on behalf of the Festival team says, “Harrogate International Festivals is delighted to have won this prestigious Award. I am pleased at the recognition demonstrated for the significant impact our festivals provide in the important business of cultural tourism across the region.”
