The 2008 Festival
Some of the biggest names in crime fiction including Robert Crais (pictured left), Jeffery Deaver, Tess Gerritsen, Andy McNab and Peter Robinson, along with legions of UK and international crime writing fans, descended on the Crown Hotel, Harrogate over a July weekend to celebrate and share their mutual fascination with the murky depths of detection.
The varied programme put together by 2008 Programming Committee Chair, Simon Kernick, providing thrills, chills and kills in equal measure, was warmly received by an enthustiastic and dedicated audience over the four days of the Festival.
The Festival received extensive press coverage including articles in The Guardian, The Independent, the Daily Telegraph, and The Times as well as widespread online features and commentary, particularly from the Yorkshire Post Online.
