The Longlist has now been announced for the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award 2008, all 20 titles are shown below. We think you'll agree that this year's line up is very strong indeed with a great mix of heavyweights and rising stars. The shortlist will be decided by the general public so vote now for your favourite book from the longlist and enter our fantastic competition to win a trip to the festival, where the winner of the Award will be announced.
