Acoustic/Pop

Today, I play the Piano, Guitar, Drums and sing (used to play Trumpet but had to stop because I didn’t have time anymore) and I always love jammin’ about with someone. My songwriting’s been going since I was 15 and I perform whenever I get the chance.

Recently, I went busking a lot in order to raise money for my trip to India with a charity group called Fulcrum to build a school in the foothills of the Himalayas. It was actually amazing, the best experience of my life and would definitely do it again.

Broderick Brass

Broderick Brass was formed in September 2009 at the start of the member’s studies at Leeds College of Music. The group consists of 5 exciting young musicians who have a wealth of performing experience between them, with members formally playing with; the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, The National Youth Wind Orchestra and the CBSO Youth Orchestra. The ensemble plays a wide range of repertoire playing everything from Serious Modern Works to Popular Classics. Future events include a performance at the St Magnus Festival in Orkney and performances at the Venue Concert Hall Leeds.

I play covers of songs such a ‘Other Side of the World’ by KT Tunstall, Dido, Damien Rice, Regina Spektor.

Leeds Acapella

http://www.leedsuniversityunion.org.uk/clubsandsocieties/performance/acapella/

We are in our fifth year as a University society, and in that time have gone from strength to strength, performing at larger and larger events at the university- we have sung for the JCR awards (awards presented to halls of residence committees) and the Rileys (an awards ceremony recognising the work of societies). However we try to keep the primary focus of the group on having fun singing, and relaxing away from the stresses of university (yes, there are some!) and making new friends.
