Sir Michael Parkinson presents Clare Teal and Friends

A Celebration of the Great British Song Book

Saturday 30 July

Royal Hall | 8pm

Growing up 15 minutes away from Harrogate,
Clare Teal used to visit the “posh town with
the posh tea room” as a child. She grew up to
present BBC Radio 2’s Big Band Special and
to have her own Radio 2 show. A regular
columnist in the Yorkshire Post, she famously
landed a multi-million pound contract with
Sony records – something virtually unheard of
for a jazz musician outside the Radio 1
demographic. Counting Michael Parkinson as
a fan, she’s worked with jazz legends and
stars from Cleo Lane to Jamie Cullum.

Clare Teal Trio with special guests:
Ian Shaw
Pee Wee Ellis

Tickets: £32, £25, £22
