Since forming in 2003, the Modigliani Quartet has stunned audiences around the world with excellent playing and individual style. The Quartet has won numerous prizes, including the prestigious Young Concert Artists International Auditions in 2006 and the Washington Performing Arts Society Prize. Studying with the renowned composer, Gyorgy Kurtag, has led the Quartet to many different performances in high profile venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Wigmore Hall, playing with what the New York Times described as “Gallic cool”.

Their individual style brings a new perspective to the Debussy String Quartet, a work that began the Impressionist era and influenced many other French musicians. Haydn’s beautiful Sunrise Quartet demonstrates the Quartet’s elegance, and is complemented by Beethoven’s brooding Ninth Quartet.
